PUBLIC STATEMENT REGARDING TAG-A-LONG TRAILER SALES TRAILER RAFFLE
Amishville USA Campground is issuing this statement solely to correct material inaccuracies and omissions contained in the recent public post made by Matt Linton/Tag-a-Long Trailer Sales. We believe it is important that the public receive a complete and accurate account of the circumstances.
In 2024, Tag-a-Long Trailer Sales provided a trailer for a raffle benefiting the Allie Strong Memorial Fund. The raffle was completed, and the proceeds from that raffle were provided to the Allie Strong Memorial Fund. Appropriate tax documentation relating to the donation was also provided to Mr. Linton.
In 2025, Tag-a-Long Trailer Sales again provided a trailer for a raffle intended to benefit the Allie Strong Memorial Fund. The 2025 raffle did not raise the amount that Mr. Linton expected or required during that year, and the trailer was therefore not drawn in 2025.
However, the fact that the trailer was not drawn in 2025 does not tell the complete story. Mr. Linton subsequently instructed that the money already raised and the remaining raffle tickets stay at the campground until the amount he required had been raised. The remaining tickets were intended to be sold during the 2026 Truck & Tractor Pull by volunteer campers, not by Amishville USA Campground or its owners.
Most importantly, subsequent communications from Mr. Linton directed that the money from the 2025 trailer raffle ultimately be provided to Lannette Love rather than the Allie Strong Memorial Fund. Amishville did not agree to redirect funds from a raffle that had been represented as benefiting the Allie Strong Memorial Fund. We expressly maintained that those proceeds should go to the Allie Strong Memorial Fund.
Therefore, the suggestion that the trailer was withdrawn simply because Amishville was “no longer aligned with the Allie Strong Memorial Fund” does not accurately reflect our position or the communications that occurred. Our position was the opposite: we maintained that proceeds represented as benefiting the Allie Strong Memorial Fund should remain for that purpose.
Tag-a-Long Trailer Sales ultimately chose to withdraw the trailer. That decision belonged to Tag-a-Long Trailer Sales.
We have retained the relevant correspondence, documentation, raffle information, and records concerning these events. We are intentionally limiting this public statement to facts that can be supported by those records.
We do intend to refund money raised to Tag-A-Long LLC ticket purchasers. If you have purchased a raffle ticket from Tag-A-Long Trailer sales for this Tag-A-Long trailer we will be in contact with you via your provided phone number on the tag-a-long raffle ticket and issue you a full refund of your ticket purchase.
We will not engage in personal attacks, speculation, or accusations regarding anyone’s motives. We simply believe that when information concerning our business is published publicly, we have the right and responsibility to provide an accurate factual response.
