Hi everyone — it's been quiet here for a while, and that's on me. Between reopening the B&B and all the behind-the-scenes work that comes with it, posting kept sliding down the list. I'm going to try to do better about sharing what's happening at Woodruff Manor.
To start, I wrote something I've been wanting to write for a while: the story of how Javier and I actually found this house. It turns out he used to drive past it as a teenager, years before either of us knew it would be ours. There's also a little bit about the geography of this stretch between Seneca and Cayuga Lakes — why this particular sliver of land has been good for growing things since long before we got here.
