Along a quiet stretch of river in Marion County, Arkansas, there's a doorway into the hills that most people on the highway never even notice. 🕳️

Hurricane River Cave sits tucked into the Ozark bluffs, a show cave carved by water over thousands of years and, in more recent decades, reopened and restored by local families determined to keep it from being forgotten. Inside, cool air and limestone formations wait exactly where they've waited since long before Arkansas was Arkansas.

Some of the state's best hiding places were never hidden at all. People just stopped looking. 🌊
