I love George West. It takes 15 minutes watching any channel's news to realize how great we have it here!!!!!

You have probably noticed some recent activity at the hotel. The hotel has a new owner and a detailed interior/exterior restoration has started.

Many of you know first hand of material shortages, skyrocketing labor costs, etc in the construction industry. No project is immune to these challenges, even our beloved GW West Hotel!

The exterior masonry and windows will be done first followed by the first floor spaces. We already have two new tenants waiting for spaces to be completed!

We will post pictures of the project as we progress.

For those of you that don't know, The GW West Hotel has changed ownership to a wonderful family. Please help us welcome Jim and Jennifer Jorrie. I know they will love the building as much as we do and are actively working to preserve and renovate the structure. We are all looking forward to see what great things lie ahead.

Thank you to all who came and put in their time and sweat! A great big thanks to Julia Wasicek, Kayla Strause, Kylie Wallace, Jake Galloway, Maggie Upton, Hunter Smith- all GWHS students!
