The first week for CPA Class #7 is in the books!

Special thank you to Scott County Attorney Cam Culbertson, 14th Judicial Circuit Commonwealth’s Attorney Kelli Kearney and District Court Judge Bolton Bevins for sharing with class their responsibilities as our elected officials. Our office works very closely together with them and we are fortunate to have them serving.

Members were given a look behind the curtain about the roles/responsibilities of our deputies and how our office functions. We always enjoy the dialogue that occurs during this time.

We were also very excited to introduce our newly formed Board of Directors for our CPA Alumni!

Meet your Alumni Board of Directors! Pictured here with the Scott County Sheriff Jeremy Nettles and Scott County Sheriffs Office Liaison Robert Tackett
President- Crystal Lewis
Vice President- Mike Justice

US 25 is completely shutdown between Summeridge Rd. and Brooks Ln. due to a tractor trailer collision and subsequent debris field.

The current estimated time of road closure is 4-6 hours.

It’s unfortunate we feel the need to share this so frequently, but we’re receiving another wave of warrant scam attempts.

We have victims who have lost thousands.

The caller is “spoofing” our phone number so it appears it’s coming from our office and telling citizens they have active warrants and asking for payment over the phone to settle the issue. They may even identify themselves as current SCSO employees.

They have gone as far as successfully convincing victims to transfer them bitcoin.

Just another reminder, we will NEVER discuss warrants or ask for any form of payment over the phone.

Please warn the elderly in your life as they are unfortunately the most common victims.
