Gettysburg’s history didn’t end in 1863.

Built in 1896, the Meade School remained in use during World War II and now houses Federal Pointe Inn.

A few miles away, the WWII American Experience Museum tells the story of the generation that experienced the war overseas and on the home front. Its vehicles, artifacts, and exhibits offer another chapter of American history to explore during a Gettysburg visit.

Spend the day at the museum, then return to a building that was part of everyday life in Gettysburg during the war.
