The CharGrill is pretty much done. Salt and humidity are tough, and it wasn’t brand new in 2023.

This monster will get a cleaning, replace the shelf, and be good to go. Thick metal will last, and more space to cook your style.

Getting the bathroom built, will be ready soon for micro trailers, van/car camping or whatever your style is. 🏕️ I slept on a cot in the screen porch with a mosquito net (double protection!)
The door is in place now too, but somehow I didn’t take a picture of that. After Easter I will put in the water line, sink and shower. For the moment the toilet tank is “manual fill” off the hose.

Jennifer caught golden hour of me finishing phase 2 of the biggest project we’ve taken on. Started thanksgiving week on adding a bathroom to welcome folks whose camp setup doesn’t have one. I’d finished another related project, much-needed relocation of the riser for dumping your stinky slinky to sit right by the RV instead of 15 feet off.

Next steps will be walls and plumbing. If weather and such cooperate it may be ready to go at spring break.

Speaking of, our plans finalized so I just opened the first part of our Spring Break week, March 13-17th. And if your district has march 6-13 it is wide open.

Was getting some options on insurance coverage and the agent asked if I allow swimming in the canal. I said everybody in Texas knows you don’t swim in the canal, there are gators and other stuff there and the water in canal is not awesome.

He said that doesn’t count unless there’s a sign, I should just go get one and put it up. I looked and they are pretty cheap to order.

But none of them seemed like they fit the EOTW vibe. The picture on the sign is the bulkhead across the street. The next is hanging out next to the driveway. The fence should keep them out but the canal is theirs. It is for fishing. Swim at the beach.

Threw this together and sent it to the agent to ask if it counts.

Saltwater Serge Kayak Guide Service is GREAT! Kayak fishing puts you closer to nature and the water than any other way to fish. The place we were catching even a jon boat can’t go.
