Wahoo Audrey and her dad had a great day of fishing 😁. We love when our fishermen/fisherladies have a good day on the water. As Tom says any day is a good day on the water even if you don't catch anything. The catching is the bonus. ( I think he says that because he never catches any 🙃haha )

Sorry it has been a while since i posted. I never even thanked our Ice Fishermen for a great season. Thank you again for making us your place to stay ☺️ We loved seeing you all and look forward to seeing you back next year 💞

I know it is getting time for our Spring Fisherman because Tom is getting his boat pulled out of the barn and getting it all cleaned up. I see the docks are all getting put in too so now we just need you guys to book your stay 😄 Rooms are all Spring Cleaned and ready for you with lots of room to park your boats and hook ups to plug them in 🙃

Butlers Island and the shallows rocky reefs surrounding it, the narrows at Gladstone, & at the way north of the bay~the areas around the mouth if the Days River & also up by the mouths of the rivers by Garth Point.

What A Difference A Day Makes

My ride to center reef yesterday afternoon was a 180° difference from today. From 2”-2’ of water on the ice 24 hours ago, to today to my surprise, areas that water was over my boot on center is now hard as a rock without any sub layer of water between ice layers. Ever changing pressure cracks have laid down bit, but use caution crossing them. The snow drifts approaching the pressure crack running across the bay from the yellow gate access to the East has water under a thin layer of frozen slush. So that would suck if you didn’t know about it. And will certainly change again tomorrow. 6-9” of ice measured today. The next three or four days have temperatures conducive for gaining some good ice thickness.

YAY I think it is going to be a great year for ice fishing. Everything is starting to freeze up nice. Some are already out there. I can't wait to see our ice fisherman but PLEASE make sure you wait till it is safe and that you check before you head out. I know you are all excited but I would like to have you around for next year 🙃
