📣 HEY, local hospitality partners!

We all know Small Business Saturday brings incredible energy to Glasgow & Barren County during the holiday season and this summer, we want to create that same sense of excitement, exploration, and community during the warmer months, too. ☀️✨

That’s where 🎨 PAINT THE TOWN YELLOW ☀️ comes in.

This community-wide initiative invites hospitality and visitor-focused businesses across Glasgow & Barren County to bring their own creative take on “yellow” to life throughout the weekend.

Rather than one centralized event, Paint the Town Yellow is designed to encourage visitors to explore local shopping, restaurants, attractions, cafés, and other guest-friendly businesses across the area with each participating location offering its own unique interpretation of the theme.

From storefront displays and themed specials to drinks, décor, outfits, products, treats, photo moments, and more participation can be simple, creative, quirky, elevated, or anything in between.

Our role is to help amplify and promote the weekend through expanded storytelling, social media, and encouraging visitors to experience as many participating stops as possible.

Think:

💛 Yellow storefront displays
💛 Summer-inspired specials
💛 Outdoor setups or pop-ups
💛 Fun photo moments
💛 Creative interpretations of the color yellow (sunshine, lemons, sunflowers, bumble bees, honey, bananas, minions, rubber ducks, smiley faces, taxi cabs, etc.)

The goal is simple:

Create a bright, energetic summer weekend that gets people out exploring Glasgow & Barren County while supporting local hospitality businesses along the way.
