Spring has sprung! Loons have been spotted on Bass Lake and it brings my heart a lot of joy. The loon nesting platform will be placed out this weekend. I am hoping this year can be successful for the loons, the last year there were babies on the lake was 2016 (2 born 7-3-16) and it has been two years since the breeding pair were killed in a territorial dispute. (The female was the breeding female on the lake for the prior 11 year). I am hoping the new pair can get used to the nesting platform like the previous female - it will be a welcomed sight to watch the babies grow this year.

The water is at an all time high and the water is over our rocks and our grass is under water. (As is many).
