Maintains an ample amount of ice in ice bin. Restock glasses, cups, plates, napkins, and trays.

Removes water glasses and coffee cups upon request of user.

Issues room key and es**rt instructions to Bell person or directly to guest as appropriate, without announcing room numbers.

Date-stamps, sorts and racks incoming mail and messages.

Transmits and receives messages using equipment such as telephone, fax and switchboard.

Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests and shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions.

Keeps records of room availability and guests’ accounts.

Computes bill, collects payment and makes change for guests.

May make, confirm and cancel reservations for guests.

Posts charges such as room, food, liquor or telephone by hand or machine.

May make restaurant, transportation or entertainment reservations for guests.

May deposit guests’ valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit box.

May order complimentary flowers or Champagne for special guests at management’s direction.

Understands and enforces the hotel company credit policies.

Accounts for all cash and makes deposits in accordance with hotel and company policies.

Communicates effectively with other front office and hotel departments.
Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.

Replenishes supplies, such as drinking glasses and writing supplies.

Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.

Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaner.

Dusts furniture and equipment.

Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.

Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.

Washes windows, door panels, and sills.

Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.

Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Replenishes bathroom supplies.

Replaces light bulbs.

Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.

Reports to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.

Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.

Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.

AWESOME STAY
Review of Homewood Suites by Hilton Richmond-West End
We came in town for a funeral. The room was very clean. Usually there's a hair somewhere in the room ( we always check) but we found nothing. Even all the dishes and utensils were clean. All the staff was very friendly, happy faces.
The breakfast was GREAT, they even had corned beef hash on Sunday, (which is rare at a hotel) along with turkey sausage, and pre-made omelets. Also waffle machine. I honestly had no complaints. Being we have both worked in the hospitality firms in the past. We are stringent on the quality of our stay. Rooms have full fridge, microwave, stove top with frying pans plates and all. Bedroom separate with French doors if you want pravicy. Basically like a 1bd condo fully equipped. We did hear small rumblings in the wall when using the shower but they went away shortly. Overall it was great. When my stay is crummy, I am detailed in my complaints. Today, I have none.

Also, if you want the best pizza in the area MOD is it. There was no info on TripAdvisor about this place but trust me. It was.
