Update on the new house coming soon! The historic Honeymoon House in Glen Rose will open soon on Airbnb and VRBO. Officially known as the Marsh Honeymoon Cottage, this lovely 1930s home is the perfect getaway for a quiet few days. Samuel Marsh built this Tudor-style bungalow as a wedding present for his new bride in 1929. We are in the last phases of the update and now awaiting the landscaping. More coming soon.

It looks like there is going to be an amazing Bluebonnet season this year. With all of the rain we had in the fall, we are seeing the beginnings of a record year. The photo I posted was from a previous record year. We have openings the middle to late April which should be the peak of the Bluebonnet season in Glen Rose. Come visit

Thanks to the management and staff at Whiskywoods for another memorable dinning experience last night and deserve a review by this very picky eater. My archetype for a cheeseburger has always been Maple and Motor in Dallas but the Animal Burger (half ribeye and half filet) now ranks at the top of my list and the homemade chips are a great plus for this two fi**ed burger. As for the tuna nachos, you will be hard pressed to find a better appetizer anywhere but the mussels we had earlier were sublime! Another comment has to do with he Caesars salad they served on New Year's Eve. We are big fans of Avanti's in Dallas as the best Caesar around but WW won the prize that night. For those who do not know, the Caesar salad was invented at Caesar's Restaurant in Tijuana, Mexico in the 20's. In those days, TJ was the hot party spot in southern California partly because of the Aqua Calenete, the famous racetrack that Seabuiscit started at.
