Silo 2, The Loft Silo, is now open for business!
We are feeling proud to open our doors and hope you will all come and enjoy the peace and unique comforts these silos provide. The Silo Loft at Goose Lake Lane

We leveled up! The loft is framed and we can see the beginnings of the amazing views The Silos will have at every turn! It’s hard to cut holes 🕳️ in our beautiful silos, until you look out the windows and see what incredible scenery there is, even in December! Hoping to get the windows in this week before the next snow storm. That should also make for warmer working inside. Merry Christmas 🎄 from The Silos at Goose Lake Lane.

Today blew our tops! (Literally 😉) Jeremy’s cousin Cameron is a genius and one of the most generous individuals I know. He owns South Shop Steel and manufactured these beams for us. On our way home from dropping a suitcase to fly to Ghana 🇬🇭 for Christmas (our oldest son is there), we stopped in Lehi and picked these beams up. The trailer pulled well on the way home and the beams are now in! We are ready to frame the second level now!

Is there anything more satisfying (and expensive) then a lumber package delivered and ready to create something amazing?!?

We are beyond thrilled with our choice of framers. Open Country Construction has already lived up to their reputation. Here’s just the beginning of their expertise in helping us achieve our dream.

After watching Cooper’s last baseball game, and a long solemn ride home, we came home to a fun surprise. The crew stayed late to finish final details on standing The Silos. We are beyond pleased with their work. Watching them erect the silos was fascinating, the crew moved together like clockwork to assemble these structures. Clearly, wasn’t their first rodeo 😉. Thanks Roundy Crew!

The l… o… n… g…. w… a… i… t… is finally over. The silos are going UP ⬆️! These pros know what they are doing, it’s incredible to watch. You know where I’ll be the next few days 😮, come join me at Goose Lake Lane. They build them from the top down, so they will grow four more rings tomorrow 🔘🔘🔘🔘! Stay tuned 🤩

Things are looking more circular around here! Super fun to see the shape laid out. We wonder if our little silos will feel spacious enough? But these couples retreats will have the most incredible views! Next step, hurry up and wait for concrete…
