Bought in the year 2000 by the three Rooney Girls, Rosemary, Heidi and Holly, The Chrysocolla Inn was lovingly brought back to life from the brink of demolition. If not for their incredible vision, this site would have been turned into a parking lot. You may have been wondering (or maybe not?) if The Chrysocolla Inn was at one time, the famed brothel of Big Nosed Kate, that sassy and nasty tempere

d, girlfriend of the famous Tombstone gunfighter, Doc Holiday. We can't swear to it, but if the stories of local neighbors who recall tales told by their parents and grandparents...then yes, The Chrysocolla Inn was the boarding house once run by Big Nose Kate in the late 1880's. She was a successful business woman and a free spirit way before those traits were popular for women. "No man or place can own me", she declared without fear and lived as she pleased without a care of what any one thought. We are very proud of The Chrysocolla Inn and invite you to feel at home with us. You are welcome to enjoy relaxing in any of the public spaces that you wish; the balconies, the patios and the gardens.
