A few weeks ago we finalized the sale of our mom’s sweet cottage at Plum Cove, Robyn’s Cottage.
To say it was a labor of love is an understatement. It was a blessing to have been able to keep it, spend time there, tend to it, share it.
As life priorities change, so do life decisions, and so this one was made.
To be able to hold onto it, live with it, let it go and say goodbye, brings gratitude, relief and fulfillment.
Pleased that it was passed along to someone who will live there and enjoy the beauty, peace and simplicity for which it seems intended.
Our mom would probably have said “Good move”, through and through, and that kept us going here, straight til the end.
Life is on a new timeline now - and it’s ok.

The most beautiful fall day at the cottage - getting it ready for a month long renter. We have month long rentals available (or more) through April 30th, 2025. Great for a getaway - work from home - stay while renovating or looking for your forever home - coming to the area to work locally for a few months? This is a great place. It may be cooler and rainy but the weather is shaping up tomorrow for a gorgeous week for our guests checking in! More flowers are blooming, and summer is still in full swing.

We love our repeat guests, and crazy to think back four years ago when Meg and Larry came to the cottage for their first stay. Meg was in the midst of writing her book, “While You Were Out”, some of which she wrote right here in our cottage and garden.

Our mom’s sweet cottage - Robyn’s Cottage Plum Cove in Gloucester - is available for short term rental year round. If you have family or friends coming to town to visit & would like a home of their own during their stay, please get in touch. When we say this is at Plum Cove - we mean - "walk to the end of our street and cross Washington Street to Plum Cove"...this is a wonderful location!
Our mom put her heart & soul into her home & the gardens, as you can see from the photos. A charming coastal New England cottage studio with private lawn, tall trees, deck, antique furniture and original artwork, on a quiet lane two blocks from Plum Cove beach in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
The bedroom/living room space includes a queen size bed, queen size pullout couch and an oversized stuffed chair pullout bed (slightly smaller than a twin) Includes a full kitchen, washer and drier, full bathroom, air conditioning/heat, high speed internet. The property includes a wrap around deck in the front with access from the common bedroom/living room as well as a slider from the kitchen/eating area. The back garden is expansive along with a patio with patio furniture for al fresco dining and relaxing. Linens, towels, beach gear are also provided!
