I was out in Joshua Tree this weekend with my two brothers and sister-in-laws. It was our second year planning a family trip, instead of buying each other Christmas gifts. I’ll remember these moments more than any blouse or candle. 💯 This weekend was so beautiful, with periods of warm sun, breezy wind, and big white fluffy clouds.

Saturday's Farmer’s Market Haul: pink lady apples, Asian pears, satsuma mandarins, dried permissions (so so good), avocados, spaghetti squash, brussel sprouts, two types of cashew cheese, and a whole branzino. It may be a little more expensive than our average trip to the grocery store, but the quality is much better, and I love supporting this community. Orange Home Grown Farmers & Artisans Market

Last Sunday marked three whole months married to and I’ve loved every minute of it. A little to our special day - the Property Manager for our venue was let go a week before our wedding. Her team was in charge of a lot of our décor and larger plants. They ended up abandoning their contracts and we were left without a lot of our rentals. I managed to hold it together, honestly surprising myself. End the end, our month-of planner really brought it together. Moral here, use vendors that you believe in and trust, and never lose sight of what is really important.

Okay, but how CUTE is ?! The women behind this brand have worked their butts off to restore this sweet thing. 💪🏼 Now that the holidays are over and the New Year resolutions have officially worn off, I’ve been working on spreading the word about my new little business. I am so inspired by plants and their ability to bring spaces to life and I want to share that with people, especially brides! As puts it “plants create a scene that you can’t always create with florals, and [are] less wasteful to rent, and [they] continue to grow after the event is over—it’s green in more ways than one!”

and I knew we wanted to forgo a traditional ceremony arch the moment we saw our ceremony space. I mean, COME ON, LOOK AT IT. I found these urns at ’ warehouse clean out and filled them with ferns, hellebores, rex begonia, and coral bells. I originally planned to plant the urns up the same, but at the last second thought they’d be more eccentric if they were different. The looseness, and simplicity of the plants is beautiful and the textures and colors compliment the deck’s natural surroundings. And the best part, they are now living in our shade garden. 🌿
