where guests would step out of the carriage upon their arrival at the front door of the hotel. This historic building, entered in the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, can host 2 separate events. The lower level features a large special event room perfect for a holiday party, birthday celebration, wedding shower or even a small banquet. With room to entertain 50+ people, this is an ideal place for your gathering. The spacious area features authentic wood floors and 14 foot high ceilings, and also features 2 antique serving bar areas. There is a small kitchen with a cooktop, fridge and sink to serve as a preparation area for any food and drinks served. Also, a quaint bedroom and full bathroom are available downstairs. The second floor of the Commercial Street Villa continues the rich history of the building by featuring the same historic wood floors and 14 foot high ceilings that draw you in to the days of past. With 2 spacious bedrooms furnished with beautiful antique pieces, you are sure to feel at peace in their environment. This upper level also features a balcony overlooking historic downtown Goliad and its beautifully restored courthouse. There are also 2 full bathrooms, a formal dining room, living room, kitchen and laundry room.
