International Dinners Are Back at Pinkham! 🌍🍽️

We kicked off the 32nd International Dinner series on 1/7 with a fantastic presentation on Albania from Keith Watling. This week, AMC President & CEO Nicole Zussman shared stories from her trip to Brazil—where she discovered the “AMC of the Amazon” lodge, trekked through the jungle, went birding on the Cristalino River, and spotted a massive tapir right outside her hut!

On the menu: Pão de Queijo, Heart of Palm Empadas, Swordfish Moqueca, Coconut Rice, Feijoada Veggie Medley, and Baked Pineapple. 🇧🇷

We’ve got 10 more dinners to go—join us for one (or more)!

Join our knowledgeable staff on 9/20 at 10 AM for a hands-on introduction to being a naturalist and community scientist. This guided program will start with a brief overview of how to use the free iNaturalist app and how the AMC leverages your observations to track ecological events—like the timing of wildflower blooms and other seasonal changes.

Then, we’ll get out on the trail, for a slow-paced walk (less than two miles) where we’ll observe plants, animals, and fungi in their natural habitats. Along the way, you’ll collect data that contributes to ongoing conservation efforts and scientific research.
