It’s a beautiful time of year in Gorham. The foliage is peaking and we’ll soon see snow. We want to share some of the things waiting for you in the White Mountains.
Come and experience breathtaking views. The mountains are beautiful dressed out in autumn glory, but just as lovely with a snow cover. Everyone should have a chance to see them.
Photography. Take your camera down a beautiful country road surrounded in color. Or shoot it in black and white covered in snow.
Hiking. The White Mountain National Forest has trails for everyone, for easy to the Presidential Traverse, the most prolonged stretch of above-treeline hiking in the Eastern US.
It’s an ATV paradise. You can leave from the Trail Break and drive downtown Gorham with the flow of traffic. With seven ATV parks, eight ATV friendly towns, fourteen hundred miles of pristine trails, and plenty of parking, Gorham offers what others cannot. Best of all, you’re only minutes from the trailhead.
Dine at Nonna’s Kitchen on Exchange Street. "Family owned and operated, authentic “made from scratch” Italian cuisine. Many of their ingredients are locally sourced for freshest ingredients available. A cozy and comfortable setting in a historic old building. "Chef” Mickey is always in the kitchen experimenting and loves to meet new guests. Come join them for dinner.
Soon I’ll add Alpine and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tubing, and snowmobiling to the list. There’s always something to do when you visit the Whites.
