We have an announcement to make:

Our time managing the campground will soon be coming to an end. After giving it a lot of thought, we decided it’s time for a change.

Between both of us working other full-time jobs, managing the campground has become a lot to juggle. We’re ready to have more time to spend together as a family.

We’ve met a lot of great people from all over the country and the world, and heard some pretty interesting stories along the way!

It has also been so fun getting to see our son make memories at the campground at the same ages as I did when I was a kid.

While we're excited for more family time and new adventures, we are also grateful for the memories we're taking with us.

LAFAYETTE CAMPGROUND MANAGER POSITION

The City of Gothenburg is seeking an individual/individuals to serve as the Lafayette campground manager. Lafayette campground is in Gothenburg NE, close to the Lake Helen Recreation Area. The campground manager is responsible for site management of the campground, reservations, general maintenance and representing the City of Gothenburg. This is a contract employee position with the City of Gothenburg and is not direct employment. Compensation is dependent on qualifications and agreement. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. The city is hoping to fill the position by the beginning of 2027.
