Elwell Lakes Lodge Elwell Lakes Lodge is a small family run resort established in 1920 to serve as a base camp for families to enjoy the outdoors with the amenities of home!

Built in 1920, the lodge has retained its rustic qualities while providing all of the modern amenities. Still owned and operated by the original family, we take pride in offering our guests the same homey atmosphere that attracted our first customers. Cozy housekeeping cabins provide the perfect "basecamp" for families, couples or individuals to enjoy the pleasures of the outdoors without sacrific

ing comfort. Each cabin has all of its pots, pans, dishes and linens provided plus kitchen and bathroom facilities. All you need to bring is your food! Our recreation building with its huge fireplace and our lounge building with its spectacular view of the area have many books and games to offer those who stay in camp. For those who love hiking and fishing, the Lakes Basin area is the perfect place to come. Numerous well-marked and maintained trails radiate from Elwell Lakes Lodge.

Drove to the staging area on the Gold Lake Rd, and we were able to get almost to the bridge before putting our snowshoes on. The lodge looks great, and we’re looking forward to going back soon.

The season is over, our lovely guests have gone home and we are starting the closing process. We have had so much rain and wind. We took pics of a tree came down on our phone line. Apologies to those who have tried to call us. Please email us if you need to contact us. And lastly, the ever entertaining chickarees trying to charm his way into Childs cabin. 😂
