Zeke’s Retreat is safe and has not been impacted by the fire. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful for the immense amount of effort, dedication, and bravery from our local volunteer fire department and all of the first responders who have worked tirelessly to protect our community, homes, and properties. They have truly gone above and beyond, and we cannot thank them enough. 🙏🏼🚒❤️

We are continuing to keep a close eye on the situation. Zeke’s Retreat is safe and standing strong.

While many of us are watching the smoke, worrying about our homes and loved ones, our volunteer firefighters are running toward the fire.

They are working long hours, putting themselves in harm’s way, and fighting to protect our families, our homes, and our community.

❤️‍🔥 OUR COMMUNITY HAS SHOWN UP — NOW LET’S KEEP SHOWING UP FOR OUR FIREFIGHTERS. ❤️‍🔥

The Possum Kingdom VFD is currently covered up with water, Gatorade, snacks, meals, and supplies. Our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude for every single person who has donated, cooked, delivered, prayed, or simply asked, “What can we do?” 🙏❤️

Right now, the greatest need is CASH DONATIONS.

The men and women fighting these fires are putting their trucks, equipment, hoses, and everything they have on the line. Hoses burn, trucks need repairs, equipment gets damaged, and the costs of responding to a major fire add up quickly.

As we watch the devastation and uncertainty surrounding the Ross Fire, our hearts are filled with an overwhelming amount of gratitude for every single first responder, firefighter, law enforcement officer, emergency worker, volunteer, dispatcher, utility worker, and every person who has stepped up to help.

To the men and women who are putting themselves in harm’s way while others are trying to get to safety — we see you, we appreciate you, and we are incredibly grateful for you.

To those fighting the flames, protecting homes and ranches, helping families evacuate, keeping roads safe, caring for animals, providing shelter, delivering supplies, and supporting our communities behind the scenes — thank you.
