Last year’s tornado ripped through 2 properties that I had just did total gut rehabs of in Nov 2024. Had more than enough coverage but the insurance company said get the work done and they would reimburse me. Ultimately it became too much and I sold my property at a loss. My insurance adjuster said this time wont be like that…and yet they its been over a month and still waiting for them to do their job.

yall remember when the UniverSoul Circus used to come to St Louis!?! Well, I want to do Juneteenth at the retreat this year and what better way to celebrate the holiday, the grand reopening of the restored retreat and my 5 year anniversary than to have UNIVERSOUL CIRCUS TO HOST OUR FAMILY FRIENDLY FUN! Of course the music, food, dancing and drinking is going to happen but the midwest hasn’t celebrated Juneteenth like I want to celebrate. Ever thought about how much outside stuff you have? Shovels, rakes, push broom, tree trimmer with extension, leaf blowers electric (that I can start all the time, but cant reach everywhere) and gas (that I can rarely get started). I refuse to count every solar light, chair or lawn game

The front is boarded up and the roof is covered, but cleanup continues outside Dee’s Riverside Retreat, a combined Airbnb and event space damaged by an EF-1 tornado that struck Grafton a week ago.

On Sunday at 11 AM we will be boxing up the contents of the retreat and moving them to a safe space within the retreat so construction can start on the damage area.
