In light of the ongoing state wide restrictions imposed by State Mandates from the Governor's office and the IDPH the Ruebel Hotel and Abigail's Restaurant have made this difficult decision to temporarily close until April of 2021. This temporary closure is for the safety of the traveling public as well as our staff and is effective immediately.We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and

Located near the convergence of the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers - Grafton, Illinois is a little town steeped in history. The Ruebel was built in 1879, caught fire on 1912 and was rebuilt and renovated in 1997. In 2008 it was upgraded to modern standards - all rooms have new beds and are equipped with hair dryers, refrigerators and 26" flat screen TVs with satellite. To ensure your stay is a pleasant one, we've supplied free wireless internet to the lobby, saloon and all rooms. The Ruebel Hotel has a magnificently restored bar from the 1904 World's Fair in St. Our restaurant, Ruebel on Main ensures a flavorful meal by staringt with the freshest ingredients available. We only serve Angus Beef and hand select all of our meats to maintain our quality. Our homemade dressings are made with canola oil for a healthier choice. Ruebel on the Main has an upbeat atmosphere that appeals to all ages. From Fine Red Wine to a cold glass of Budwiser, we can quench your thirst. Come see why we are one of the favorite bars in Grafton! Dinner is served until 9:00pm everyday but the bar will stay open for as long as the drinks are flowing and the good times are rolling!
