Originally built by the Nutt brothers, our boutique hotel blends historic charm with modern luxury, offering guests a timeless stay filled with heritage and comfort in the heart of Granbury. Located in the heart of Granbury, Texas, we aim to honor the Nutt Brothers heritage with modernized charm. The Historic Nutt House Hotel is currently undergoing renovations. The grand reopening date is scheduled for the fall of 2024.

We have heard that the Bridge Street History Center (the first Nutt House Hotel) is reopening in November after extensive upgrades. The Nutt House name started in 1879, when David Lee Nutt built a home on Bridge Street. It soon became Hood County's first hotel, and the family humorously named it The Nutt House. Today that building is the Bridge Street History Center. Stop in on your next visit to Granbury.

The 48th annual Harvest Moon Festival of the Arts fills the Granbury Square this weekend, October 23 through 25, with artists, live music, and a Masquerade Street Dance. The Nutt House Hotel sits right in the middle of the festival grounds, so you can walk out the door and join us under the harvest moon.

You may have heard the theory that John Wilkes Booth wasn’t actually killed in 1865, but did you know that story is directly tied to Granbury? According to local legend, the man who assassinated President Abraham Lincoln escaped the manhunt that followed and eventually made his way to Texas. Here, he reportedly lived under a different name, worked in a Granbury saloon, and befriended a local lawyer. It’s a story that adds a curious twist to the town’s history, and one you can explore for yourself while staying at our Granbury hotel, right on the Historic Square.
