⚠️ To mitigate wildfire risks and protect local communities, the Grand County Colorado Board of County Commissioners officially approved Resolution #2026-06-16, enacting Stage 2 Fire Restrictions for all unincorporated areas of Grand County. The restrictions will take effect this Friday, June 26, 2026, at 12:01 AM.
While the resolution technically allows for professional fireworks displays under strict permitting guidelines, local public safety officials have determined that current environmental conditions warrant a more cautious approach.
Following a joint review on Wednesday, June 24th, the Grand County Sheriff’s Office and local Fire Districts announced that no permits will be issued for professional fireworks displays within the county for the duration of the Stage 2 fire restrictions.
Grand County and Fire Officials thank the community and visitors for their cooperation, vigilance, and shared commitment to keeping the county safe this season.
