We can serve as your required local emergency contact, help troubleshoot guest issues, respond onsite when needed, coordinate vendors, document problems, and handle the random property issues that are hard to solve remotely.

Plans start at $100/month, with onsite work billed separately.

⚡ Confirmed lightning strike behind City Market… sort of.

This is one of those moments when knowing your wildfire zone before you need it matters.

When you can see smoke across the valley, you shouldn’t be figuring out for the first time:

• What zone am I in?
• Am I signed up for official alerts?
• Where is the fire in relation to my property?
• What’s my evacuation route?

And the bigger gut check:

If that smoke were closer to my house, how confident would I feel about my wildfire mitigation and home hardening?

Fire remains at approximately 15' X 15' and is on Bureau of Land Management - Colorado land. BLM has assumed control of the fire for the evening and will continue to monitor overnight.

Happening Now, Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 4:55 p.m.

Fire and law enforcement crews are responding to a confirmed wildfire on County Road 56 in unincorporated Grand County (outside of Granby) . The fire is currently estimated at 15’ X 15’ and burning in heavy timber. Federal and Grand fire resources are hiking into the scene to assess.

The biggest mistake I see remote homeowners make isn’t what you’d expect.

Most people assume owning a mountain property means preparing for the big emergencies.

A burst pipe.
A wildfire.
A furnace failure.

Those happen—but they aren’t what cause most of the stress.

It’s usually the small things that go unnoticed until they become expensive:

• A smart lock battery dies on check-in day.
• A dryer vent slowly clogs until the dryer stops working.
• A minor plumbing leak damages a cabinet over several weeks.
• A smoke detector starts chirping while guests are in the home.
• A contractor finishes a job, but no one verifies the work before the next guests arrive.
- or the ice maker fill line is clogged from mineral deposits and overfilling which creates an ice damn in the door and sabotages the electrical panels in the freezer door bc of the location of the ice damn

None of these make headlines.

But they interrupt vacations, create negative reviews, increase maintenance costs, and consume an owner’s time.
