The End of an Era:
Hello Folks,
The Black Bear Lodge of Grand Lake is Closed, and will not continue as a Motel moving forward. We will share more about the future of the property after our Closing.
We feel beyond blessed to have had this incredible opportunity to own and operate our small business in this beautiful place in the high country of Colorado. It has been a great pleasure to meet folks from all walks of life, share stories, and discover our shared humanity. Our goal has always been to provide clean, comfortable accommodations, and to provide respectful and attentive service. Judging by the number of returning guests, we feel that we achieved our goal, or at least, we gave it our best shot. We are grateful to all who chose to spend their hard-earned money supporting our family-owned small business, especially our returning guests, many of which will continue as our friends. We also want to thank all of our employees through the years, who adopted our vision and mission and have taught us so much. We could not have achieved the success that we have, without their help. Thank you to the myriad of Grand Lake and Grand County locals, who trusted us to provide a safe and comfortable place for their overflow of family and friends. We hope that our paths may cross again, as we head into the next chapters of our lives, moving it forward everyday!
