Dear Minnesota,

Thank you for being the hope that people needed.

For fighting for democracy and your brown neighbors that make our neighborhoods better. And thank you for putting the best of Minnesota on display over the last few weeks.

We don’t know how this saga/nightmare ends… but we do know that we’re beyond proud to be Minnesotan right now. And that in many ways, our neighbors are all that we’ve got. And that we’ll keep throwing everything we have into the fight towards what is right. In the coming weeks and months, please keep in mind who is at the center of this convo: Our immigrant friends. And democracy.

🛶 Northwoods Gala in support of last week.

We’re thankful for the small but mighty groups of people that have fought to protect the world’s most pristine wilderness. One of those rooms that felt humbling to be in.

Let it be very clear: Damaging the BWCA for the benefit of a select few would be an irreversible mistake. Once that toothpaste comes out of the tube, there’s no putting it back in.

Thank you everyone that shops and stays with our small business and makes it possible for us to play our small role in the fight.

And shoutout to a few of our other favorite small businesses supporting through their donations, attendance and support.

Let’s do the thing where we re-introduce ourselves... Hi, I’m Mitch.

I started this company as a side hustle out of my 600 square foot apartment in 2015.

I still don’t know what I’m doing. But I love doing it.

We’re a scrappy small business with 2 arms to what we do:

1. A printing company that specializes in making our own drinkware and apparel. And supporting every small business we can along the way through printing. I could really bore you talking about ink.

2. A wilderness supply store nestled in the heart of Downtown Grand Marais, supplying folks with everything they could need to get out on an adventure. And we’ve got a micro-hotel above our store for folks who want the full experience.

When you’re a small business owner, the line between your family life and work life is paper thin… because the thing you build is so wrapped up with the family, staff, and customers that you love. My friends make fun of me because my favorite hobby is my work. But I swear it’s less lame than it sounds. It’s just that my work is kind of the intersection of where all of the places and people I love most come together. Ok I could probably reconnect with some other hobbies too.

Thanks for being part of our journey. See you again in 3 months when I post again 🤷‍♂️
