Keep Calm and Mooz On! 🫎 Tomorrow, August 23 head up the Gunflint Trail to Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center for a special presentation all about one of our favorite Northwoods residents…the moose!

Wildlife biologist Sammi Shimota has spent the last four years studying wolves, moose and deer within the 1854 Ceded Territory. She’ll share more about the challenges Minnesota’s moose face, what researchers are learning and what we can do to help.

If you love seeing these incredible animals along the Gunflint Trail, this is a great opportunity to learn a little more about what it takes to keep them here for generations to come.

Event is this Sunday, August 23 from 2–3 PM

We have not posted for a couple days because it has been just beautiful here and we have been busy getting out some new deck furniture on Ash Cabin and also on the beach. We still have openings, so before school starts come on up and enjoy the perfect weather. Also don’t forget to book your stay for the fall color time. ( no bugs 🤪)
