I just booked a couple on a river cruise through France and now I’m fully in my feelings about it.

Slow mornings wandering through the market with no agenda. Long lunches that turn into long afternoons over a bottle of rosé. Waiting two hours for hand-churned ice cream overlooking the countryside — and not being even a little mad about it.

Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower. The Seine wrapping around the city like it owns it. Notre Dame, which somehow still takes your breath away no matter how many times you’ve seen it in photos. Crepes from a street cart. Gelato. Café after café after café.

And then there’s Aix-en-Provence — where I got engaged — which is its own kind of magic entirely. 💍

Also: my fiancé trying to drive through Nice and practically having a panic attack because the roads are approximately the width of my shoulder span and people were literally pulling back their bistro chairs so I didn’t run over their toes. Priceless.

France doesn’t just show you beautiful things. It slows you down enough to actually feel them. (Except in Nice. Nice will speed your heart rate up considerably.)

I can’t wait for this couple to experience all of it — the magic AND the chaos.
