Dominated by ranches and little wifi service, it is a broad stretch from the bustling towns of Bozeman and West Yellowstone, surprisingly only a fer hours away. With the majority of the population here living off the land, it isn’t easy to find places to stay, keeping the traffic to a minimum. Back in the day, this was the last place for travelers before heading over the treacherous Lemhi Pass to get to Idaho. Weary visitors would stop to resupply food, horses, get some rest, and send their last telegrams to let their loved ones know they were safe. The old log books still exist, along with old remnants of the past strewn throughout the structure. Original beams and flooring are as strong as they were back in the day, showcasing the wear and tear of years of boots and hooves. Our rooms are rustic, in the style of old. Perfect for sleepy families wanting to step back in time, or for hunting groups, coming out to experience the wilderness like they did back in the day. We offer seven different rooms here of different sizes, meant to manage anything from a couple or a group. These are rustic, some even coming with the original antique cook stove and wood burner. Each one has it’s own sort of charm, some including kitchens and private bathrooms, with all offering easy access to the delicious food and fun of the saloon below. Join the locals at the end of a long day to hear stories, learn about the best hunting ground, or possibly even get a pass through some private land. Our locally infamous dry-aged steak draws the crowd in, but the local flair of life on the Horse Prairie keeps them coming back! We look forward to seeing you your next visit. The Cozy offers a wonderful view of Jeff Davis Peak while you prepare meals on a fully functional antique stove. Tall on character and comfort, this single-room apartment provides a charming layout with one queen bed and one full-sized bed. Depending on your party, 2 to 4 people can enjoy all the cozy has to offer. Electric heat with a full kitchen and small dining table complete this package. The community bathroom is just outside the front door. THE MINER’S APARTMENT (ACCOMMODATES 1-6) $125.00 per night
The Miner’s Apartment provides a full kitchen, private bath, 2 private rooms with a queen bed and 3 single beds or a king and 1 single bed. It has two couches and a hide-a-bed and is also equipped with a wood stove for heating. It boasts the best view of Jeff Davis peak and surrounding ranges from the second story. This smaller room comes with two single beds and one full. Complete with a private bath and views of Bachelor Mountain, this long room with pine walls gives off a warm country feeling. THE VICTORIAN (ACCOMODATES 1-4) $85.00 per night
The Victorian Room offers views of Jeff Davis Peak. Complete with one queen bed and one or two singles (adjusted to preference on request) and a private bath, the Victorian accommodates 3 to 4 guests comfortably. THE HORSE PRAIRIE (ACCOMMODATES 1-4) $60.00 per night

The Warrior Room is a special room dedicated to housing our nation’s finest Wounded Warriors and handicapped citizens. It is the only guest room located on the first floor, is wheelchair-accessible, and co-located with a wheelchair accessible bathroom. Outfitted with a queen bed and electric heat, this cozy little room puts you first in line for breakfast and with immediate access throughout the Stage Stop to everything we offer.
