As the farm is waking up from a LONG winter's nap......I wanted to give you a "feel good" story.
Every year we add new things to the farm and I wanted to put a rustic sideboard in the event barn to add beauty and storage. Best place to find such things in FB Market Place and I did. So arrangements for pick up were made and we headed to Albany to get our new piece of decor. Found the lovely house and went in to look at the piece. Yup, it was what we wanted and we were discussing how to get it into our truck.......when in walked to very nice policemen. Now they weren't there for us but were answering a call from the lady we came to see. Everybody introduced themselves and the lady pardoned herself to talk to the policemen. When she was done she came to help us sort the piece of furniture and she had some "wedding decor" she wanted to give us. The police were headed out the door when they turned around and asked if they could pick up the furniture and load it in the truck for us. How nice is that! Of course we were delighted to let them do the lifting. We loaded up the truck and headed out with big smiles on our faces because of some very kind people. Oh, and we got to eat at PF Changs.......a place I love but when you live out in the country like we do.......places like that are always a long ways away.
