We have had a little break this week here at the farm. Thank goodness. because the next six weeks are all reserved for weddings. We are taking this time to regroup and get everything in place for both the weddings and for the cooler temperatures. I can't believe tomorrow is September......... although Fall is my favorite season.

We have put the blankets back on all the beds and the mattress heaters are also in place, though not yet necessary. We have changed our decorative flags over to Fall and are getting the flower beds weeded and prepped for cooler weather. The days are shorter and the night cooler, so more firewood is needed for our guests. Trimmed trees and removed this summer's growth of Virginia Creeper and wild grape vines. Repaired and painted some fencing and are repairing one of our bridges.......it never ends.

Our Swallows have left (I shall miss them). Hummingbirds are packing up and most of the song birds are getting ready for their trips south. The pool will get covered the end of this month for the winter.

How quickly the season goes by......
Fall is a beautiful time to enjoy the farm. Lots of colors
in the trees. Fall flowers, pumpkins, and of course cozy campfires and tasty s'mores.......we still have glamping availability, even with all the weddings.

The apples are falling
from our trees and our four legged guests are taking full advantage. I love seeing them.....

A small black dog with a collar was spotted on our cameras at our cottage this morning. It ran up the driveway and went left down 30 just before a car. If he is your baby please keep him safe.

This place is our Sunday afternoon go to.......we buy our fresh milk for the week and of course imbibe in their wonderful ice cream. It is a must visit

Just some pics from this weekend at the Farm. The waterslide was so much fun to watch but the soreness the next day is not my style. Oh to be that young.....

We had another wonderful weekend here at the farm. This time they were repeat guests, coming to celebrate another birthday....... The whole
Farm is rented out
for this party from Friday to Sunday.
The group plays competitive games and enjoy time together to catch up. A lot of food is both prepared on site and some is catered. Not
too mention a lot of "drinks" are enjoyed. The group decorates for the party together and the farm looks very festive. By night they have lots of music, dancing and laughter and sit by the big fire pit telling stories all night. Needles to say when Sunday morning rolls around, it is much quieter and the action is in slow motion as they undecorate, have breakfast and start the task of packing up.
They come from all over to spend time with their friends and it warms our hearts to see everyone have such a great time together.
Hope to see the again next year.....

We get the question a lot.....are you "pet friendly"......... this past weekend we had a full house, meaning all four yurts and our cottage had guests. We had six wonderful dogs and even one cat. Does that answer the question? Everyone....including our human guests were wonderful and fun to have around.

Sunday evening, after a "full house" weekend. We decided to escape to Lake Bomaseen and have dinner at the Lake House. What a beautiful evening, just to sit and eat a nice dinner and watch a beautiful sunset. Even had a delightful surprise, when a beautiful Bald Eagle flew right over our heads and perched in the trees next to us.
A perfect evening and we will definitely do it again soon.
