The Lodging: The cabins sit in a camp setting, Most are one room cabins-the living room, kitchen and bedroom areas are all in the same room. They are clean, cute and quite comfortable. We also have a larger 2 bedroom cabin and our Chalet which is a three bedroom home. All have equipped kitchens and are
stocked with linens, towels and utility items. There is very little you will need to bring for your stay. Some cabins have Franklin wood stoves. All have a picnic table, grill and campfire pit. Wood is available at the office for sale. Our quaint log rooms set in one large cabin. Each room has its own enterance and private bath. You will have the feeling of being in a log cabin bedroom. They are designed for a nightly stay or for those who prefer not to cook. These rooms do offer a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The Lake: Ellis Lake is a beautiful, 50 acre lake. It is secluded and unaltered by development. In fact, we are exclusive to its shores. As our guests, you will enjoy the many activities the lake has to offer throughout the four seasons; swimming, fishing, canoeing, water fowl observation, ice skating, and ice fishing. Ellis Lake is a popular fishing lake with our local fishermen due to its abundance in bass, northern pike, perch & blugill. The Land: From wet lands to hardwoods, Ellis Lake Resort's land offers a variety of terrain and foliage. Our scenic trails lock into the Michigan Shore to Shore Trail that extends from Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. Combined, the trails offer the serious hiker, cross country skier, and mushroom hunter spectacular view and intimate contact with nature. The Services: WIFI, Outdoor Hot Tub (private sessions only), Outdoor equipment: boats, canoes, and a paddle boat. Snowshoes-for a small fee. Recreational & Play area: horse shoes, volleyball, tetherball, playground equipment and a small play house.
