🦌 The Countdown Is On - 4 Weeks to Archery, 6 Weeks to Crossbow!

Check out the map below, which shows how close each county came to meeting its female whitetail deer harvest goal last season. In Zone 1 and Zone 2 counties, we’re still coming up short. That matters—because meeting these goals helps keep our herds balanced, healthy, and thriving.

🎯 Why does it matter?
👉 Reduces over-browsing and habitat damage
👉 Improves fawn survival and herd health
👉 Leads to better buck quality and hunting experiences

Most of our deer zones are managed for population reduction or maintenance, especially in western and northern Kentucky. Harvesting does in these areas is a key part of responsible deer management.

📍If you're hunting this fall in a Zone 1 or Zone 2 county, consider taking a doe. You’ll be helping support healthy habitat, better genetics, and sustainable deer populations for seasons to come.

We have been blessed to wake up in the morning and enjoy this view while eating breakfast for quite sometime. Recently we decided to share this experience with others. We have opened our home up as a vacation rental for those who want to experience the beautiful wilderness for themselves.
