Some of the best design in New England was never trying to be design at all.

This retiring room from the North Family Dwelling in New Lebanon, now at The Met, is Shaker-built, honest materials, nothing extra, every line earning its place. We didn't invent that instinct. We just kept it going, in our cabins, our table, our pace.

Timeless simplicity isn't a look we borrowed. It's regional inheritance. .

Wander the grounds of this living history museum and you'll find echoes of what draws us to these mountains in the first place: a belief that less noise makes room for more meaning.

The lake has been the point since 1876.

Long before this was Prospect, it was a picnic ground, people arriving by horse and carriage for the nation's newest pastime. That instinct never left. It's why our dock steps straight into Prospect Lake, one of the only true water entries at a hotel in the Berkshires, no pool deck between you and the water, just a ladder and an invitation.

The Transcendentalists who walked these hills believed immersion in nature was how you found your way back to yourself. Some mornings, the lake still has that same pull it must have had in 1876.

Introducing movie nights at Prospect! Starting July 9th we are hosting bi-weekly movie nights in our field by the pool. Moonrise Kingdom will be showing first at 8pm. Open to everyone, free admission. No outside food or beverage. Locals park at French Park.
