everyone assumes the big chain motels are cleaner/nicer/better/etc
but check out this video...
here at the budget inn we use disposable cups for drinking/disposable liners for the ice buckets/ and the real coffee cups in the office are washed in soap and hot water and sanitized with a bleach rinse.
our housekeepers clean just like anybody would in there own home...meaning if you wouldnt do that at home, we dont do it in the rooms!
we dont have quotas for cleaning rooms and we pay per room so no need to hurry thru the cleaning process....
if people realized the things that many big chain motels do to make it look so perfect, they might be more inclined to give smaller places a second look

well slowly but surely getting the rooms on line for the year..
5 of our rooms got new carpet just b4 we finished last year....
been washing walls and preparing to do some caulking on tubs
still plenty of cleanup to be done outside, but rooms are looking good!
we will be ready for the "beginning" this up- coming weekend!

i would like to say that if you cannot count the number of people you will be sharing the room with when you check in that perhaps you might want to stay at a different motel.
we allow two people per bed without additional charge.and because we offer breakfast it helps to know how many people will be eating!
so many people tell us they have 2 when they really have 4 and sometimes we hear 5 people when there are 9
and when we ask them again they go oh yeah! i forgot about the kid (or grandma or whoever)
i repeat if you dont know please take a headcount and tell the truth when you register! lying tends to make us invite you to leave.
thanx to everyone
