Just want to give Anthony Carter a shout out. Everyone knows what happened almost 10 months ago. It was horrible. And I know, a lot of people lost homes, belongings, & even their life. At the park, it looks like people just lost their campers. But honestly, it’s a community out there. They lost their friends for a while, their second home, their peace. I saw several cry, including myself over the devastation. Anthony was there, every day. Not one day he didn’t show up. He was there the whole night of the flood. Watched 12 years of hard work, just disappear. He didn’t sleep for a couple days.
People didn’t really see what effect that had on him, but his family did.
So this 4th of July celebration was special. It was a great day. With great weather. The pool was packed. People everywhere. And the fireworks, AWESOME!! I was just wanting to thank everyone, that helped Anthony build back, came to camp or swim, & just made this weekend great. He deserves to look at what he’s accomplished over the years & since the flood.
Here’s to many more years at Kinser Park!!
