๐ EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: KAYLA DEGRAW ๐
This week, weโre excited to shine our Employee Spotlight on Kayla Degraw, one of our Pool Supervisors & Housekeepers here at Skyway Camping Resort!
Kayla grew up in Middletown, New York, and currently resides in Sparrowbush, NY, with her significant other, Kevin, and their Dalmatian, Skye. ๐พ
โบ FROM CAMPING AS A FAMILY TO SKYWAY EMPLOYEE
Kaylaโs Skyway story began in 2021, when she and her significant other Kevin started camping here in a pop-up camper. It didnโt take long for Kayla to fall in love with Skyway and everything that makes our campground special.
That love eventually led her to become part of the Skyway team! Kayla previously worked with us during the 2023 and 2024 seasons and returned again for the 2026 season.
As one of our Pool Supervisors, Kayla spends much of her time working in one of her favorite places at Skyway โ the pool! Throughout the summer, she helps oversee the pool area, interacts with our guests, and helps make sure families can enjoy their time swimming, relaxing, and making summertime memories together. โ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
Her favorite part of working here is meeting both new and returning guests and working by the pool.
When asked why she loves working at Skyway, Kayla shared:

๐ฅ A LOVE FOR CAMPING THAT STARTED YOUNG
Camping has been a special part of Kaylaโs life since childhood. She fondly remembers her mom and dad taking her and her sister camping every season, sometimes spending an entire month together camping as a family.
Those childhood summers are where Kaylaโs love for camping began, and today, one of her favorite camping memories is simply being able to sit back, relax around the campfire, and enjoy the moment.
๐ชฝ IF KAYLA COULD HAVE ONE SUPERPOWER...
Kaylaโs answer is one that comes straight from the heart.
If she could have any superpower, she would choose the ability to fly to Heaven to see her mom and other family members and have the chance to talk with them again. โค๏ธ
๐ฒ FUN FACT ABOUT KAYLA
Kayla and Kevin share a love for the outdoors and staying active together. You can often find them hunting, kayaking, fishing, or hiking and enjoying everything nature has to offer.
During the colder winter months, Kayla trades some of her outdoor adventures for arts and crafts. She enjoys using her Cricut to create decals and stickers and also loves spending time baking and cooking. Whether itโs summer or winter, Kayla always finds something she enjoys doing!
