Happy Friday!!!

Seven years ago, I never imagined I’d be balancing interior design projects, real estate clients, and Airbnb hosting all at once. Yet here we are, multiple homes under contract, beautiful new builds breaking ground, guests checking into our properties for the weekend, and design projects coming to life every day.

This week, I’ve been working on the kitchen and great room for client interior design project . One of my favorite parts of the process is finding those unique details that tell my clients’ story. For this home, I took inspiration from the exterior design and carried that influence into the kitchen to create a space that feels cohesive, cool, personal, and timeless.

My goal has never been to chase trends. I want every home we design to feel authentic to the people who live there, a home they’ll love just as much 20 years from now as they do on move-in day.

Feeling incredibly grateful for every client who trusts us with their home, whether it’s buying, selling, building, renovating, or staying in one of our properties. Whooo! Have a great weekend!!🤎

Over the years, we've purchased properties with potential, renovated them, designed them, welcomed guests from all over, and then eventually passed them on to new owners so we can start the process again. The Hillview House has been one of those special projects.

What started with a vision of potential became a peaceful retreat for hundreds of guests, and now it's time for someone else to enjoy it, whether as a personal getaway, investment property, or a place to stay while hunting all those big Greene County deer!

Part of our mission has always been breathing new life into spaces, sharing them with others, and then moving on to the next adventure. We're incredibly proud of what Hillview House has become and grateful for every guest who chose to stay there. We can't wait to see what the next chapter holds for this cabin!

Lots of questions about the Naples condo, so I thought I’d share a little sneak peek. ☀️🌴

I spent an extended weekend in Florida working on the space, and since Aunt Carole was out of town, it was just me and my weekend assistant, Uncle Tom. He helped a ton and honestly has pretty great taste and home knowledge! I preplanned and planned on site like I do any space for myself or clients and everything fit perfectly!

The painters were wrapping up the painting in the bedrooms so I had beds delivered. The cabinets are currently back at the shop getting a factory finish makeover, going from a stark white to a warm taupe (shown in the rendering) that feels much more fitting for the direction we’re headed.

The overall vibe is muted blues, sandy browns, natural textures, and just a hint of coastal influence without feeling overly beachy. I found several accent chairs and tables while I was there, so now we’re getting down to the fun part and layering in all the little details once the painting is complete.

It’s coming together and I can’t wait to show more soon. 🤍

When mountain vibes meet the Midwest 🤎

This custom new build is breaking ground soon, and I couldn’t be more excited to watch it come to life. From the dramatic timber entry to the natural stone and warm earthy tones, every detail was designed to feel timeless, welcoming, and connected to its surroundings. I just love this journey as a designer from a concept to 2D, 3D, and eventually reality!

Proof that even a pantry can have personality🤎

A color drenched pantry with a little cowboy cool mixed in. The flooring is the showstopper here, but what really makes the space feel warm are the layers of texture and the pieces collected over time. Woven baskets, aged wood, vintage finds, and everyday essentials all work together to create a space that feels lived in rather than cold and stale.

A little Carlinville birthday itinerary if you’re looking for a local girls getaway 🤍

Started the afternoon with shopping at the stores around the square Brave Hazel Boutique 1917 Home Decor & Company , and Collected

Stopped for drinks and apps at Route 66 Old-Fashioned Restaurant & Speakeasy then headed back to our Airbnb to get ready, dinner at Portrillos and ending the night with an adult girls sleepover!

We had a slow morning at the Carlinville Market + coffee at Hawthorn Tree Coffeehouse - to wrap it up.

I’ve been a little MIA… head down designing and preparing for a few new builds this year.

Excited to share this traditional farmhouse from one of my ongoing interior design projects. Simple Midwest feel, warm tones, and a quiet kind of intention behind every detail.

And the front porch… easily one of my favorite parts.

More to come on this one… and I need to come up with a name for this project! Any ideas?? 🤍

A little personal milestone to share 🤍

After 6 years of looking, we finally found our place in Naples!

This area has been my happy place for the last 10 years… family, friends, memories, and time I truly treasure.

Yesterday, we closed on a 4 bed, 2 bath in the best location (and 2 minutes from my aunt and uncle’s doorstep).

We have a renter until June… but after that I’ll be flying down to do my thing and turn the place into a home.

Will share more this summer! 🏝️☀️

We have several ongoing client projects and a few personal projects that I’m really excited about right now, and I want to make sure each one gets my full attention. Because of that, I’m currently booking out and will not be taking on any new design clients until this fall.

Moving forward, in the design area of our business, I’m focusing exclusively on new builds and full remodels. This includes 2D and 3D design (interior and exterior), along with all hard and soft finish selections.

If you’re planning to build or fully renovate, I highly recommend reaching out at least a year in advance so we have the time to thoughtfully plan every detail before construction begins.
