Proof that bathrooms deserve a little cabin charm too. 🤎🌲

This private bathroom is part of the main-floor king master suite at A Bear’s View, because when you’re traveling with a group, having your own space to get ready is a luxury you appreciate very quickly. 😉

🍂 IT’S OFFICIAL… FALL IS FINALLY HERE. 🍁🌲

And Greer understood the assignment.

Crisp mornings. Sweater weather. Changing leaves. Coffee that somehow tastes better in the mountains. Evenings that practically beg for a fire and nowhere you need to be.

This is the season for slow mornings, long conversations, card games around the table, hikes through the pines and weekends with your favorite people.

And A Bear’s View has room for 12 of them. 🤎

Fall doesn’t stick around nearly long enough up here… so don’t spend the whole season saying, “We should go to Greer.”

A slow morning at A Bear’s View Cabin calls for warm cinnamon rolls. 🤎 We made these today, and the best part was doing most of the work the night before.

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls
Makes 8–12 rolls

Dough: 1 Tbsp active dry yeast, ½ cup warm water (about 105°F), 4½ cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp kosher salt, 4 eggs, ¼ cup sugar, and ½ cup softened butter.

Filling: ½ cup softened butter, divided; ¾ cup packed brown sugar; and 1 Tbsp cinnamon.

Glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 Tbsp melted butter, 2 Tbsp milk or cream, and 1 tsp vanilla.

The night before: Sprinkle the yeast over the warm water and let it sit for a few minutes. Whisk in ½ cup of the flour, cover, and let stand somewhere warm for 30 minutes. Add the eggs, sugar, butter, salt, and remaining flour. Knead with a dough hook until smooth, about 10–12 minutes. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 2 hours.

Set aside 2 Tbsp of the filling butter. Beat the rest with the brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll the dough into a 15 × 10-inch rectangle, spread with filling, and roll up from the long side. Slice into 8–12 rolls (unflavored dental floss makes beautifully clean cuts!). Place in a buttered 9 × 13-inch dish, brush with the reserved melted butter, cover tightly, and refrigerate overnight.

In the morning: Let the rolls rise for about an hour, until roughly half again as tall. Bake at 350°F until golden, about 25-30 minutes. Mix the glaze ingredients, let the rolls cool for 15 minutes, then spread the glaze over the top.

Best enjoyed warm, with coffee and a view. ☕🏔️

Tucked inside the main-floor master at A Bear’s View, you’ll find a few good books, warm cabin details, and plenty of reasons to slow down.

Because a mountain getaway shouldn’t just give you somewhere to sleep, it should give you permission to linger a little longer.
