HMR is ready!!

For emergencies that is. We all love our mountain hideaway but it sure feels good to know that HMR staff and members are prepared for anything.
Many thanks to resident member and aviation nurse Joan Garrett and Patty Campell RN, MSN, ENT from Banner Health for teaching an amazing class, making sure HMR has updated and sophisticated equipment and organizing PHI Airevac to come out from Show low and locate three emergency landing sites on the property.
Hopefully we wont ever see another helicopter in our arena but it sure feels good to be prepared!

HMR Internet goes Fiber!
We get it: When you said you want to get away from it all, you weren't talking about your internet speed. We are happy to announce our new Ethernet Fiber connection which will allow all HMR workaholics, Netflix lovers and Facebook addicts to enjoy a lightning fast internet.
No reason at all to go home now, you can do it all from the mountain!

Winter is here...
HMR members missed the first big snow of the season only by a hair. HMR has transformed into Winter Wonderland and we are ready to let the season begin!

What a Thanksgiving!!

With over 60 adults and children attending HMR's Thanksgiving celebration the ranch was brimming with good energy this holiday weekend. Thanks to freezing night temperatures and much to the children's delight, there was some actual snow on the ground and with members and their family and friends cozying up in front of the fireplaces all of the cabins smoking chimneys transformed Hidden Meadow Ranch into a winter christmas village.

Brody's cafe served Aj's freshly baked pastries and an endless supply of hot coco while the kids clubhouse housed a serious gingerbread decorating session as well as many a treehouse battle and some amazing karaoke performances of "we wish you a merry Christmas".

There is so much to be grateful for this holiday season. As for Hidden Meadow Ranch, it is a bunch of amazing people, staff and members alike, who make this community more than just a place. Thank you to each and every one of you for making HMR a place that everyone is proud to be a part of.

A special Thank you to Joe for a spectacular Thanksgiving feast!! We are all thinking of you and are sending well wishes for a quick recovery!!

Love was in the air on this magical weekend at Hidden Meadow Ranch. While the kids had fun in the sun playing together, the excitement was building for the year's most anticipated HMR event: Charles and Lacey's Wedding!! All HMR members proudly took part in what has got to be the sweetest community project ever.

It was an almost surreal feeling observing a relaxed yet focused group of amazing people coming together to make the big day just perfect. A beautifully decorated wedding site, amazing flower bouquets, competing bachelor/bachelorette parties, custom prairie diamond wedding bands, pinterest worthy favors, an aspen tree themed cake, the list goes on and on. It was the details that made this celebration so perfect. You know who you are people... Who knew we had so much 'hidden" talent up there;))

Bear's den had temporarily turned into Bridal Central with Lacey preparing for the big moment supported by her five adoring bridesmaids, all of them still currently single. They made sure the lovely bride was certain to take Charles' breath away (mission accomplished).

No wedding without a small hiccup: After safely delivering the bride to the site and patiently waiting during the ceremony Wind decided he could not hang around for pictures. Chasing him and his bouncing buggy all the way from the wedding site to Reata, and through the back of the meadow in a dress and boots was not something I had planned on doing but we finally caught up to him;) The site of Alex all alone in the middle of the meadow, far away from all buildings sitting on the buggy attached to a horse that is entirely too small, all dressed up with a "just married' sign hanging on the back and rattling coffee cans dragging behind him will make me laugh out loud for a long time to come.

Joe and Lance outdid themselves, we ate like kings throughout the weekend and can't believe they pulled all this off. As we listened to heartwarming toasts to the bride and groom and exchanged stories about proposals and first dates, we also exposed the core of of Hidden Meadow Ranch and the people who decided they want to be part of it: Love. I think we all agree that this weekend was the year's highlight so far and want to thank all who participated.

To Charles and Lacey: now there are two less fish in the sea. We wish to thank you for letting us all take part in your celebration, it truly was an honor. We hope when times get tough, you'll remember this sunny October day and the vows you exchanged in the Aspen Circle in front of your family and friends.
In life, there is no greater happiness than to love and be loved. We are so glad you found each other and wish you nothing but the best for your future together.
