From President Craig Tweedale: Larry Bebus and inspections have resumed. The person that owned Waterguard before is temporarily going to manage the operation in our area. Realize, they are still down inspector headcount by 30 to 40 percent. Hopefully they can remedy that situation. Bebus said, if you have any members in your association that want to be inspectors, let him know and he will get them trained in a hurry and put them to work. $17 to $18 per hour. Three or four days a week.

Waterguard, the boat inspection service for a wide area of lakes, shut down its business. According to Todd County SWCD, there will be no further inspection services conducted at BBL lake accesses until the county can regroup and form a plan of action. Already, the DNR, other watercraft service contractors and prior owners have reached out to see if they can assist.
