Happy Earth Day from Hotel Grinnell! 🌿🌎 ♻️

Housed in a building originally built over a century ago in 1921, we are proud to be an adaptive reuse, a completely recycled and upcyclyed hotel.

A few eco fun facts about us:

⚙️ The iron furniture throughout the hotel was made just 30 miles south us of at a local foundry. This not only supports our local economy but also saves incredible amounts on transportation costs compared to importing. Plus, iron is a much more sustainable product then wood and wood veneer in terms of environmental impact, durability and renew ability.

🧼 Instead of itsy-bitsy travel sized shampoo and soap, Hotel Grinnell uses bulk containers filled with organic Paya bath products.

⌛️ The building has many original features like the hardwood floors found throughout guest rooms that were once classrooms!
