Welcome back, Grinnellians! 🎓✨ The campus is buzzing again, and we’ve loved being your home base during move-in week. Over the last several days, we had the honor of hosting guests from 5 foreign countries—India, Japan, Thailand, England, and Jamaica—and 12 different states!

While serving up over 75 breakfasts, we got to hear all about the move-in highs and lows. We celebrated the major triumphs (yes, getting all the laundry done on day one counts as a massive win) and sympathized with the heartbreaking mysteries ("I know I packed my pillow... where is it?!").

To all the new and returning students, parents, and families: thank you for letting us be a small part of your transition back to campus. We’re wishing everyone an incredible, inspiring, and successful school year ahead!

🇺🇸🍿Front row seats to the best show in town! This past 4th of July weekend, guests at The Grinnellian had the absolute ultimate setup for the annual parade.
No fighting for parking or hunting for a spot on the curb—our guests just stepped right out front to enjoy the floats and the community spirit rolling right past the house. It was the perfect, classic hometown celebration.

One constant throughout our adventure with The Grinnellian has been Evan’s mom. Since the beginning she’s always been willing to jump in and help in anyway needed.

You’ll often see her floating around The Grinnellian helping out in the kitchen or doing what she claims she loves best in her "retirement"—cleaning and organizing! (We aren't arguing with her!) 😂

We are taking some time this summer to tackle some major deep cleaning and organization projects around the house. First up, a new laundry room rack and some much needed organization! 🧺✨

Having family by our side makes the hard work so much sweeter. Make sure to say hi to her next time you see her around the property! 👋
