Maple Streams is a private, 10 acre retreat in rural Groton, VT, sandwiched between the Wells River and the rail trail. This cabin is perfect for fun and family gatherings. Relax in the evening by the fire pit or on the screen porch as you listen to the sound of the river running by. Play a game of shuffleboard or co****le, or walk the many trails that wind through the property and lead to secret swimming holes along the river. In the summer, snack on the wild raspberries and blackberries that grow on the edges of the fields. There is a swing set and beach toys for the kids. If you get a rainy day, there are many board games, books and two separate televisions areas with WiFi streaming. In the winter, the house is called the “gingerbread house” for its many Christmas lights and the lit up tree in the back yard. You can curl up in front of the propane stove, sled the small hill, build a snow castle or take your snowmobile out on the rail trail (part of the VAST snowmobile network in the winter).
This 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom home sleeps eight. Two bedrooms have queen sized beds, the bunk room has twin bunk beds, the large downstairs room has a couch that folds down into a king sized bed, and the loft has a futon. The house also has a washer, dryer and a full kitchen, including a dishwasher.
The Groton State Forest is located nearby for wonderful hikes, views of fall foliage, and the popular Boulder Beach. If you love nature and outdoor living, this is the place for you!
Our rate is $300/night with a $100 cleaning fee and a 2-night minimum.
