It’s time to officially celebrate! We are having a 90th Birthday Dinner Celebration, and we want you there :-) Ninety years ago, this land started feeding people. It hasn’t stopped since. Originally built to house fishermen passing through, we now welcome travelers who know exactly what a stay here means. This dinner is our way of marking it: one big table with a delicious menu planned, together in the Glass House.

Seats are $150. Booking is open now — pick your cottage for the night and get ready celebrate Mar Vista turning 90!

We’re honored to be featured in The Panafold’s latest issue, “What Endures.”

Panafold came out last winter to capture the story of how we found Mar Vista back in January 2020: a historic property we weren’t even looking for, but couldn’t walk away from once we got here. The piece digs into the property’s roots, from the original Scandinavian-style cottages to the decades of stewardship that shaped what Mar Vista has become — long before we ever arrived, all leading up to our 90th anniversary celebration this year.

Beautifully written and photographed by Pauline Chatelan. We’re so grateful to have our story told with this much care.
