Host family arrives home from weekday jobs at 3pm and at random times. Usually home on weekends doin
g projects. Evening schedules vary with community meetings and relaxing at home. We have a 13 year old terrier mix named Jasper. Parking available. Guest Access
Guests may have access to our Family Room and eat-in kitchen, Parlor and Dining Room. There is also a full bath downstairs off the Family Room. There are TVs in the Family Room and Kitchen. Interaction with Guests
Interaction with guests is by chance. We will meet our guests on the first day of arrival, and then allow them independence from then on. We can be reached by cell phone if there are any questions or problems. Our dog, Jasper, is retained within our yard by invisible fence. He can come in and outdoors as he wishes. The Neighborhood
We love the vibrant activity all around the Guilford Green. There is easy access to the post office, bank, art gallery, stores, retaurants, coffee shops and 4 churches. Great sidewalks for walking. You can visit the oldest house in CT on foot or by Segway. Two other museum houses within a half mile. Back porch and patio seating to enjoy the outdoors. Two outlet shopping centers, movies and Hammonasset State Beach are 10-15 minute drive away. Many hiking trails in Guilford. Getting around
Shoreline East Railroad is less than a mile away takes you to Union Station in New Haven where you can catch a Metro North train to New York City. Or take Shoreline East to Old Saybrook for an Amtrak train to Boston. Shoreline bus service stops at the opposite corner of Green. There is also a local taxi service.
