There have been quite a few comments on various pages about the seaweed on the beaches in Fort Morgan and through out most of the gulf coast. All the way from Miami to New Orleans. This is a natural phenomenon. The gulf coast has been hit with an unusual amount of storms and this is what happens. The seaweed floats around the gulf and the storms will push on to the beach. The seaweed is a floating eco system. Not fun when your on the beach but it is nature in action. Some local officials will remove it others let nature take its course. If you don't like nature (good or bad) why are you outside and why are you at the beach?

We are off to another great year! Thanks to all our guests, friends and family.
We have not up dated this page much nor have we completed any major projects for the Lonesome Seagull. The TV project will hopefully happen soon but with our occupancy rate and our personal challenges it may take a little longer than planned. Some personal news, we are relocating from Atlanta to the Gulf Coast area. We have just begun building our house. We will be closer to the Lonesome Seagull so we can do more with the property in a more timely manner.

A big thank you to all of our friends, family and guests who visited our little house at the beach! It was another great year and we look forward to this year! If you are looking to return or just thinking about visiting for the first time you need to start thinking about booking soon! We are already at 65% and it is only the beginning of March! Thanks to all our freinds, family and guests that have been to our little house. We are about 80% booked for there year, which is great but it does not allow us time to do maintenance. There are a lot of things we would like to do but sometimes we put them off due to our occupancy. However we have an opening in May and we will be installing new carpet. FINALLY!! The current carpet is original to the houes (25 years). We are putting it out to pasture. We are getting rid of the carpet in the masterbath (we could never figure that one out) and going with vinyl flooring. We will post pictures when it is done.
We also will update the TVs and add some more in the very near future. We will probably swith to Roku for the tv service.

A guest staying at The Lonesome Seagull attended the Blue Angles show and the meet and greet with the crew today April 9, 2025. She shared some pictures with us. Looks like it was an awesome time!
