These are pics from previous October visits during Shrimp Fest. It is typically a gorgeous visit, as the sun starts setting over the water and the heat has lessened but still warm. This year, we are home in TX, while a storm heads towards Gulf Shores. They have cancelled Shrimp Fest, along with our annual HOA meeting. That is never an easy call, and I am sorry for those that have invested time and money that cannot be recovered 🩵. Praying for our neighbors and friends that are there, and of course for little or no damage to properties including our beloved Hello Sunshine Villa. The beach continuously gives us metaphors to life, including storms. Sending all the love and good vibes to the gulf this weekend 🩷. ~Amy

Nik and I went to check on Hello Sunshine Villa last week. On the way, we got lucky with a last minute stay in Laurel in The Buzzard’s Roost Inn New York room. This inn was renovated by the HGTV show Hometown and is walking distance to many stores and restaurants downtown Laurel. We had fun seeing it and the host was very friendly. The next day we did a little shopping and lunch then finished the last three hours to Gulf Shores. We often drive the full distance but sometimes we leave too late or just get tired. I’m always happy to share places we think work well, just message me :).

Time flies when you’re having fun. Four years ago today we closed on Hello Sunshine 🎂 🎉 ! We have learned a lot and done so many updates including all new decks, updated the kitchen, lots of new furniture, changed some art, and we bought the neighbor (side B/Hello Waves) a couple of years later to complete the Hello Sunshine Villa. Here is a recent look at Hello Sunshine ☀️. Thank you for staying with us, sharing our posts, and telling your friends. We appreciate you 🩵. Cheers to many more years! 👋 ☀️ 🏠
